The medlar is an ancient fruit that has become rare today and has been valued for centuries in traditional herbalism and nutrition.
Natural ingredients of the medlar
Medlar fruits naturally contain tannins, polyphenols, flavonoids, pectin, organic acids, and carotenoids, as well as vitamin C and minerals such as potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, and iron.
The natural tannins, in particular, define the characteristic, slightly tart taste of the wild medlar.
Recommended intake: 3 teaspoons twice daily.
